Our Story

Star Tissue was Established in 2003 with the aim of becoming a world-class manufacturer of hygiene paper products. Building on the 45 years of experience the family had in the paper industry the business started off in a small unit in Blackburn and in 2011 relocated to the current mega site on Waterfall Street, allowing development of their now state-of-the-art production facility becoming of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers of hygiene paper products.

In 2019, Star Tissue caught the attention of WEPA, a leading European manufacturer of hygiene paper products, renowned for its commitment to sustainability and innovation. Recognizing a shared ethos in prioritizing environmental responsibility and maintaining a family-owned business culture, WEPA embarked on a journey to acquire Star Tissue officially in 2024.
